SCOTT STRIGEL
Associate / Test Drilling Coordinator
Scott Strigel began his career with Coleman Engineering Company in 1985 as
a
Driller’s Assistant and as a Construction Materials Field and Lab Technician. In
1992 he began operating drill rigs for geotechnical and environmental projects. In 1998 he became the Test Drilling Coordinator, responsible for all aspects of
day to day field drilling operations. He became an Associate in 2000.
Mr. Strigel attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh WI from 1988 to 1991,
focusing his education in the field of Geotechnical Services.
Mr. Strigel has extensive experience in all field aspects of drilling
operations. This includes operating a variety of drill rigs, sediment sampling from
various boats, operating work boats, drilling from
barges, and in addition accessing difficult boring locations including heavily wooded areas,
swamps, dams, etc.
Mr. Strigel is OSHA Health and Safety trained and certified in American Red
Cross First Aid and C.P.R. He is a certified A.C.I. Level I Concrete Inspector
allowing him to conduct field and laboratory testing on various projects throughout
Northern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. His drilling experience includes working
on large transmission line projects, power dams, nuclear containment facilities,
Wisconsin DOT and Michigan DOT projects, confined disposal facilities, solid
waste baler and landfill sites, deep rock coring projects, large environmental
projects on land as well as from barges on many lakes and rivers, including the
Great Lakes.
He resides in Kingsford, Michigan with his two children. He enjoys outdoor
activities including playing softball, camping, hunting and ice fishing.
