Vice President/Survey Department Manager
James H. Moore joined Coleman Engineering Company in 1995 as the Iron
Mountain Survey Department Manager. He was named partner in 2005.
Mr. Moore graduated from Michigan Technological University with an A.A.S. in
Civil Engineering Technology in 1974 and from Ferris State University in 1976 with a B.S. in Land
Survey. Mr. Moore is a Licensed Land Surveyor in Michigan,
Wisconsin, Arizona, Colorado and California. He is also certified by the
American Red Cross for First Aid and Blood-Borne Pathogen Prevention Training. His memberships include the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors, Michigan
Society of Professional Surveyors, Member of the Board of Directors of M.S.P.S.,
U.P. Chapter and is the current Dickinson County Remonumentation Director.
Mr. Moore has extensive experience in all phases of land surveying including
design, topographical mapping, land development, remonumentation, cadastral
surveys, horizontal and vertical control for aerial mapping, and construction
layout for roadways, utilities, commercial buildings and interchanges.
Jim is President of the Norway High School Booster Club and is very
involved in local high school sports. His favorite sports are hockey,
basketball and running. Jim has run in four marathons and several cross country
team races with his family. He is very involved in The Michigan Society
of Registered Land Surveyors and the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors.
