JOHN E. EDLEBECK

John E. Edlebeck joined Coleman Engineering Company in 1985 and is currently Manager of the Geotechnical Department and Construction Materials
Laboratories in Iron Mountain, Ironwood and Negaunee, Michigan.
Mr. Edlebeck attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, with
course work in Geology. He completed his education at the Northeast Wisconsin
Technical Institute in Green Bay where he received his A.S. in Civil Engineering
Technology.
Mr. Edlebeck’s entire career has been dedicated to geotechnical and construction
materials testing and he has worked on projects throughout the United States.
His extensive experience in field and laboratory testing of various soils and
construction materials throughout Upper Michigan and Wisconsin allow him to
provide a
wealth of knowledge to consultants, contractors and industries throughout
Coleman Engineering Company’s service area.
During
Mr. Edlebeck’s tenure he has become extremely knowledgeable in recognized industry
standards including ASTM, AASHTO and ACI, as well as various military, federal and
state highway department standards. Through his efforts, Coleman Engineering
Company has become a qualified testing laboratory for the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers and the Department of Transportation in Michigan and Wisconsin.
John is a “go to guy” for many of the construction related questions posed by
the area contractors and community. He is an avid woodworker, concrete/brick
mason and he has most recently taken an interest in welding and metal work. John is often
involved in small construction projects around the neighborhood for family and
friends and has volunteered for community projects. He sits on the board of the
local Builder's Exchange which promotes the construction industry in the Upper
Peninsula of Michigan and Northern Wisconsin.
